I've been wanting to post this for a while, but time eludes me. Susu spent the summer in Damascus, Syria. She came back pretty fluent in Arabic. I was surprised since this was not the case in the previous years. Here are some pictures before and after her trip. I have a certain reverence for Damascus that I will talk about when time permits.
